ACTION ALERT!

Obama’s War On Coal Comes To The Pacific Northwest

Governors Inslee and Kitzhaber are colluding to undermine economic development in Oregon and Washington, by proposing devastating, radical changes to the environmental review process. These crippling new changes would greatly expand the role of government in private industry and negatively impact all existing and future trade and transportation investments in our region.

Environmental extremists are trying to make coal exports the Spotted Owl of this century – killing a huge industry in our region in the process.

Oregon Tea Party has partnered with several local tea party groups and the business community to fight back.

Washington is holding a public hearing on October 9th from 4-8:00 PM at the Clark County Fairgrounds in Ridgefield on a major new investment in the port of Longview, WA.

  • The Issue: Washington is considering a disastrous new environmental review, unprecedented in size and scope. If adopted, this plan would set the expectation that ALL trade and export expansions would be subject to the same global review.
  • The Impact: This directly affects jobs in Washington AND Oregon, and creates a precedent allowing the states to kill coal and other exports by endless environmental reviews.
  • Where/When:
Wednesday, October 9, 4-8pm
Clark County Event Center (at the fairgrounds)
17402 NE Delfel Road
Ridgefield, WA 98642
Directions: I-5 North or South. Exit 9 (179th St.).
Proceed West on 179th Street.

  • Take a Stand: We need to act now before these excessive regulations burden our current exporters and undermine the future of our trade and export industry.
  • Added Treat: The Washington Farm Bureau and National Federation of Independent Business will host a free BBQ before the hearing to support the economic developments.

Join us in telling the Washington Department of Ecology and Governor Inslee to stop the job crushing regulations. Click here to RSVP for the hearing, please sign up here or get more information to email info@washingtonscopinghearings.com.

  1. I can’t make these hearings because of schedule conflicts. But will contribute $20 for our Grand Tea Party Bus.
